Meg Berry, LCSW, Certified EMDR Therapist
Are you ready to get your life back?
When you are ready to get your life back and live how YOU want; not a life dominated by emotional or behavioral symptoms, call or email me for tele-health or in person sessions during day or evening appointments. I use EMDR, CPT, Solution-focused, Coaching, and CBT.
Why Come to Me?
Because you need to get yourself back quickly and expertly. You can go to any therapist who helps people with symptoms of depression, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, intrusive memories, avoidance, and irritability, or you can go to someone who specializes in your unique needs. There are no quick fixes, but what I provide is a more time-efficient, specialized treatment model which will get you back to your life and calling in the quickest, most complete way possible. My specialization is with adults, just like you, suffering from the effects of direct or indirect trauma primarily using EMDR.
I specialize even deeper with first responders, understanding your unique culture and needs when coming to therapy. I will not tell you “you’re stressed and need an outlet” when you have no desire or energy or are already using outlets. In fact, you are strong and resilient. I will help you pull on your reserve resiliency to regain and maintain you being that leader you are so you can continue your calling. I will help you reclaim your life.
I offer appointments throughout the day including some before and after work openings as well as on-line tele-mental health sessions through a HIPAA compliant therapy website.
A unique feature I offer is tele-counseling sessions via a HIPAA compliant web platform. Not only is this a legal and ethical way to provide mental health counseling, it has many benefits. However, to ensure compliance and understanding of the risks of using technology, I am credentialed through the Telemental Health Institute and am approved by the Center for Credentialing and Education as a Distance Credentialed Counselor. A DCC has met the nationally established distance counseling criteria and adheres to the National Board for Certified Counselors’ code of ethics and policies regarding the Provision of Distance Professional Services. To stay up to date in my area of specialization, I am a member of EMDRIA (The EMDR International Association) and am a volunteer for the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program. Furthermore, I am trained in several treatment approaches as noted above, am a certified EMDR therapist, and have extensive training and experience in trauma recovery.
